CLASS HISTORY HE cherxshed day has finally 'xrrnved on whlch we the class of 1974 are to Graduate ln order that the hlstory of thls lllustrnous class shall be known to those who come after us and our accomplxshments be kept as a mark for others to a1m at we shall endeavor to glve you an account of thls unusual roup of young people Cn a certain day nn early September lf-P70 fifteen meek and bashful 1 reshmen assembled m the halls of the C U H S cletermmed on making a record for themselves It was not long before the upper classmen reallzed what we were and after a dclwhtful receptlon they ladly lnltlated us mto the mysterles of high chool lxfe Our Freshmen and Sophomore years were rather uneventful Outslde of a few of our members taklnv part m some of the school vames and programs the years were marked by no Oreat occurrences However while we were sxttmv back we vverc quretly watching the actlons of our upper classmates so that we would be more than fltted for the ln our unxor year we flrst began to show our qualltres as a real class 0ur m mbers occuplecl prominent posltxons 1n school affalrs Thre of them secured posltlons for themselves on the dcbatvnv teams whlle several others starred ln school frames Our Senlor year has even been more eventful Soon after school commenced our class called a meetmv and chose Horace Mccomble for nts Class Presxdent and oseph Sllverla secretary lmmedlately the class agreed on assummg the burden of I'8lSlIl0' the funds necessary to publxsh the school annual and through a serles of plays they soon ralsed the sufflclent sum of money Our members took part 1n all the school actlvltles throughout the ye xr so we feel that we have ended our hugh school car er rn a worthy manner PAW 3 QM We were twelve now we are nme When the schools are solldated Back us then we ll need a vate To keep the teacher under dated Don t be snappy llttle teacher We can tell who s most to bl une Cn hls f rave and handsome features Gunlt ns wrltten just the same ' l' 1 I v A . - ' ' D .
