FIFTH GRADE Our class started ln the year of 1943 Our kmdergarten teacher was Mnss federsen Gary Eden Kenneth Dearborn Janet Bengston Rosalee Schulz Jumce Stexnes Nels Olson Jr Wnllxam Eden Alta Mae Bousselot Lowell Grau Margaret Knudsen Lester Schau Creta Gall Eden Mary JoAnn Looney Madeline Crabb Karen Schwennsen Everdene R Fisher Ronald Hale Robert Mxller Charles Smdler Lynn Smnth Patrncla Staggs Nancy Wxese and Allyn Wexss started thexr fxrst year Mxss Pedersen was our first grade teacher also Ronald Hale Nancy Wlese and Robert Mxller moved durmg that year Danny Green entered and left and Flora Mae Emmert entered Our teacher 1n the second grade was Mxss Cruson Charles Sxnkler and Lynn Smlth left Our teacher ln the thxrd grade was Mxss Malmanger Mary Bowstead left Betty Ann Vogt Ronald Bender John Byerly Larry Dosland Robert Muller Lyle Behne and Barbara Hospardarsky entered Our teacher xn the fourth grade was Mxss Shelton who ms now Mrs Stankee Flora Mae Emmert and Barbara Hospardarsky left Terry Ryan jomed us m January 1948 Sandra Leonard joined us the th1rd s1x weeks of our flfth year and Ronald Schmltt entered just before Chrlstmas Bobby Cltek also joxned us SIXTH GRADE On a hot sunny August mormng twenty s1x chxldren started xn the sxxth grade We knew r1ght from the beglnnmg that our sixth grade year would consxst of hard study well as a lot of fun Our fxrst party was on Halloween At that tlme we all dressed ln our fmest clothes Some gxrls ln overalls and men s shlrts some boys ln gxrl s dresses and hats whxle others wore Halloween and other styles of costumes Those wmnxng PFIZES for the best costumes were Jxmmy Peters Douglas I-lennmg Larry Rock Hxlda Mae Sheldahl and Mary Lou Petersen After the great parade of costumes games and lunch were enjoyed Then before we knew It Christmas was rollmg around the corner We knew that we would be busy gettmg ready for the Chrxstmas program and our room Dxfferent gxfts were made for the mothers Some made plctures whxle others made hot pads When the day came for the all school Chrxstrnas program we were all rather nervous e presented a Chrxstmas Pageant But before we could snap our fmgers xt was all over and we were back to our room opening Chrlstmas gxfts and enjoymg Chrxstmas treats All xn all, we had a wonderful Chrxstmas To begm our second semester we orgamzed a club whlch was called The Merry maker Offxcers elected were Presldent Sharon Chrxstensen Vxce Presxdent Hllda Mae Sheldahl Secretary Davxd Davenport Treasurer Arthur Bousselot Dur1ng the rest of thxs year we held many club meetmgs At that txme we had a buslness meetmg a program and a treat Each txme dxfferent pupxls were on a commxttee We have really enjoyed our club Now that It IS time to draw the curtaxn on our sxxth grade year we w1sh to say we have enjoyed xt very much and are looking forward to next year 18 . . .
