CLASS OF 1948 Presldent Geralduxe Stueland V1ce Preszdent Mardelle Mueller Secretary Neola Grage Treasurer Luc1l1e Green Student Councll Mardelle Mueller As all Freshmen do 1n C H S we endured the r1tes of Freshman in1t1at1on For class ofhcers we chose Joel Olson as Presxdent, and Lucxlle Green as V1ce Pres1dent Mr W11l1arn Glasgow was our class sponsor We st1l1 remember when as Sophomores we carne back and uutiated the poor Fresh1es M1ss Ella Stuit was our sponsor that year and we elected Bob Ia cob1, Pres1dent we found out later the ballot boxes were stuffed, and Mardelle Mueller, h1s assocxate 111. crune as V1ce Pres1dent When 1946 rolled around, we were .Tumors Donna Webb was elected our our class sponsor That year we really put our nose to the grindstone to tlunk of d1fferent ways to earn money for our banquet F1rst we had a paper dr1ve, and in October we gave the h1gh school a skatmg party 1n Davenport In November, after weeks of work, we proudly presented our f1rst play No Brlde For The Groom F1na11y after all th1s work plus hours of to1l we entertalned the Seniors and fac ulty at a banquet 1n the Blackhawk Hotel m Davenport Afterwards we walked through the ram formals and all to a movle Th1s year we were semors at dear Calarnus Hxgh Most of us antzcxpated the t1me of graduatmon but yet hated the 1dea of no longer bemg students at C H S For act1v1t1es most of the class were members of the paper and yearbook staffs Most of the g1rls part1c1pa.ted rn grrls chorus Mardelle Mueller Geraldme Stue land Cam1lla Easton and Neola Grage played on the gmrls softball and basketball teams Bob Jacob1 Joel Olson, and Roy Husen played on the boys baseball and basketball teams Our Sen1or play glven on March 19, was The Campbells Are Commg under the dxrectxon of Mrs Vxrgmza Woollls Supenntendent John Mecklenburg was our class sponsor Our lass has reached its stay m the halls of C H S , and with sad hearts we turn over our dutxes to the present and future hlgh schoolers o 4 6 class President and Russell Meeks as Vice-President.
