The varsity girls' track team had a successful season and finished second in the district meet with seven girls advancing to the Re- gion-IV track finals in San Antonio. Alicia Williams, senior: Stacy Brown, senior: Kristi Canada, jun- ior and Angela Williams, freshman sprinted to two first place finishes in the 400 and 800 meter relays qualifying them for the regional meet. Q4 Angela also advanced in the 100 meter dash. Franci Cassels, senior, qualified in the 800 meter run: Hope Hodges, sophomore, ad- vanced in the 100 meter low hur- dles and Kristen Miller, senior, qualified for the regional meet in the two mile. We worked the girls hard, Coach Letha Dunham said, They deserve everything they got.
