School of the Arts Dean Jerry Samuelson On behalf of the faculty of the School of the Arts, I extend to you our best wishes for continued success in the Arts. You will play a central role in extending the influence of the Arts in enriching the quality of life in these times. The growth of the Arts in Orange County in the last five years is extraordinary. The completion of two new amphitheaters, extension and renovations of area museums, growth of small theaters, and the building of a multimillion dollar Orange County Performing Arts Center signal the Arts ' explosion in this area. The cultural wasteland is breaking forth into full bloom. We are committed to our mission of providing an environment for growth and extension of the individual artist. We are proud of the individual past accomplishments of our graduates and we look forward to watching your artistic endeavors in the future. As we look to 1984-85 and the 25th Anniversary celebration, we hope you will return to campus to join with us as we reflect on the past success and look forward to the future.
