u JEWEL PLUMMER COBB President To the 1983 Senior Class: May I, at this time, extend to you congratulations for the successful completion of your undergraduate career at this fine University. We have seen you co ntribute to the spirit and vitality of the campus as you have studied, discussed, explored and assimilated literally hundreds of new concepts, theories and facts. We know that during the past years, you have often had to burn midnight oil and to defer personal pleasures involving family and friends in order to accomplish your academic goals. May you sustain the disciplined commitment and the focused energy of your undergraduate years in the future as you tackle new projects. I am sure that as you look back to your freshman year, this process has been one of maturation, acquisition of knowledge and accumulation of wisdom. Whether your interests lie in the arts, the humanities, the sciences or the professions such as business, teaching, engineering, we know that you have received a strong foundation on which to build your future career. Good luck and Godspeed. We will look forward to keeping in close contact with the very important person you become as an alumnus of the University. Jewel Plummer Cobb President
