Oo Music Music Deparfmenf Sounds Cff All Around The Cajon High School Marching Band in iTs mosT successful season ever, parficipafed in various evenfs. They enfered in Two Soufhern California Marching Bond Compefifions. one aT Chaffey High School, in which They Took Third runner-up To firsT place, and af ColTon High School, where They earned fourfh place. The band also performed in many parades, aT home foofball games, and of pep rallies. The band is under The field direcTion of Dan Ogden, Assisfanf Drum Major Deanna Ingram, and Drum Seargenf Phil Chaffee. The Drill Team and Tall Flags who funcfion as auxil- lary unifs and color guards, supporfed The band af The compefifions and parades. BoTh performed in many compefifions on Their own second semesTer where They conTinued To display Their Talenfs. The Drill Team capfains are Norvella Johnson and Marissa Salazar, and The Tall Flags capfain is Sfephanie Jerge. The Cajon Honor Choir developed This year inTo an oufsfanding performing group, by singing for The P.T.A., parficipafing in The Chrisfmas concerT, and oTh- er music fesflvals. They also performed for Two resT homes near Cajon, and af The Craffon College Arf Fesfival in May. The Choir was wiTh Mrs. Holm and piano accompianisf-direcfor Becky Will firsT semesfer, and wiTh Miss Will and Mr. Dennis Harps second semes- Ter. The ConcerT Band showed greaf improvemenf This year, performing af The Cajon Chrisfmas and Spring ConcerTs, and The DisTricT Band and Orchesfra Fesfival aT Cal STaTe. They also parficipafed af San Bernardino Valley College where They all Three disfricf high school bands were infegrafed wiTh Valley College's band To form one large concerT band. A selecT group of The concerT band also performed aT The Marine's Birfhday Ball aT The Orange Show. The concerf band is under The new direcTion of Mr. Dennis Harps.
