Headed by Coach ZieTlow, The Team won The ArlingTon Cross CounTry meeT for The TirsT Time. This Team also supporT- ed TeammaTe GilberT Abrego To a new Three mile cross counTry record of 46 minuTes, 43 seconds. The capTain of The Team was STeve Hill. Abrego was named MVP of The year. The girls' cross counTry Team had a record of Three wins and five loses. IT was a new Team wiTh a new coach. The girls as a Team were very posiTive and parTicipaTed in ArlingTon, Yucipa, and Perris relays. The coach was Rachel Raymer. The capTain was STaci Harbauer. Girls' Tennis Shows Promise For FuTure I felT The Team played wiTh a loT of enfhusiasm and drive. IT was a season of a few excifing vicfories and a greaf learning experience for all new Team members. OuTsTanding seniors were Khanh-Linh Nguyen, WhiT- ney CriTchley, and Carol EsTes. Capfain was Khanh- Linh Nguyen and mosf valuable players were Carol EsTes and Lisa Tran. We have good TalenT refurning. Kira Khokhlov, Lisa Tran, Dawn Keafing, Jeaneffe Mer- rill, Gina Cafalano, and Marianne MeTTica will be The basis of The 4984 Team. Our JV's had a successful season in posTing auife a number of wins. The SAL Team was very compeTiTive wiTh Yuciapa, VicTor Valley and BarsTow, all jockeying for Top posi- Tions. All Top Teams will lose valuable players plus Yu- ciapa will be leaving The SAL league in The 4984 sea- 9 son. WiTh our leTTer people and good, ambiTious JV's, Cajon should fair fairly well in 49811.
