FOOTBALL The Centura Football squad, led by seven sen- iors, started out the year with a great deal of enthusi- asm and spirit only to face a very tough schedule. The Centurions ended the season with 2 wins and 6 losses. The positive side of the season has to be the ex- perience that the underclassmen gained. It will go a long way toward making the next couple of years suc- cessful for Centura Football. Also on the positive side were the attitudes of the players. The seniors provid- ed good examples with their leadership. The work, effort, and sacrifices that they made will remain a part of Centura for years to come. The underclass- men also played an important part in the team this year and their attitudes were also greatly appreciat- ed. Four Centurions were named to the Louplatte All-Conference Football team: defensive end Rob Hargens, offensive guard Bill Baasch, joined by kick- er Kyle Casperson and punter Darin Jantzi. Offen- sive guard Dan Williams and running back Brent Madsen were designated as Honorable Mention. TOP ROW: Student manager Dan Maynard, student manager Tige Hauschild, Lonny Loy, Jeff Baldwin, Chris Trumler, Steve Lauritsen, Brian Meyer, Craig Badura, Andy Veeder. FOURTH ROW: Dave Baasch, Jason Leetch. Jason Simdorn, Brad Keck, Bob Morris, Randy Baldwin, David Hostetler.
