Harvest of harmony In September, Lisa Trumler was selected by the band as Centura's candidate to the 1983 Harvest of Harmony Queen Pageant. High school girls from across the state competed for the honor of reigning over the fourty- second annual parade that includ- ed more than one hundred bands. The candidates spent the entire day in a series of interviews and activities which culminated in the selection of the queen at a pageant that evening. The girls were judged by a panel on a number of criteria including school and community involvement, beauty, poise, and intelligence. Lisa was selected as second runner-up to the Harvest of Harmony Queen. On Saturday, October I, Lisa joined the queen and first runner-up on the royal float to reign over the festivities and lead the parade through downtown Grand Island. 16 Lisa Trumler, Queen Candidate
