Student Council is the organization which acts as a com- munication center for all other organization in Centura. Be- sides this. Student Council works with the faculty and ad- ministration in keeping everyone in touch with one another. Student Council also sponsors several activities throughout the year. Starting off the year, homecoming was one of the Stu- dent Council's main projects. This included a homecoming dance and coronation. We also sponsored a Polly-Doodle Dance, late in March, where the girls could ask the guys for dates. It turned out to be one of the most successful proj- ects ever. Even though Student Council is involved in school, we felt it should also be involved in the community. To get this plan going, a group of Student Council members attend- ed a Muscular Dystrophy Convention in Norfolk. Student Council also showed their voice in District and State Student Council by attending both conventions. As a result, Randy Kremlacek was elected District II President for the upcoming year.
