In Memory of Eudell Stewart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Stewart of Dan- nebrog, lost his life in a car accident March 21, 1969. Eudell was a senior in the Centura High School where he excelled in track and football. He was chosen first runner up for the Homecoming King by a popular vote of the student body last fall and was selected to the All-Conference football team. Eudell was a boy who cared for his fellow man. He was well known for his generosity and his desire to help. There are many people in the Centura Community who benefited from his philosophy “Let me live in the house beside the road and be a friend to man”. His last day was spent in helping a friend in need. Eudell C. Stewart Jim Burke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Burke of Dannebrog, was fatally wounded on February 9, 1969 near Bur well, Nebraska. Jim lost his life doing what he loved best. God understood Jim’s love of nature and let him spend his last day on this earth in the great outdoors. Jim was a freshman in the Centura High School. He was a quiet boy who enjoyed being alone with nature and his dog. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, water skiing, swimming, and camping. Jim had also been a troup leader in the Boy Scouts and had played little league baseball. 2 James L. Burke
