S. we have an assortment of personalities in dif- ferent degrees ol' maturity. Our teachers are lriends in need. They not only teach us math, English, science, et al, but they help us in other ways- in deciding how many name cards to order, whether to have a stand at a football game, in listening' to our date problems, and by sponsoring our clubs. . . Freshmen begin on the bottom step ol the high school lad- der-giddy girls gathered around the second floor fountain. shy boys ambling down the hall, energetic helpers on school projects . . . These are our freshmen and we love them! Sophomores are ambitious. To make money for their sen- ior trip is their main objective. They peddle their wares, but at the same time have loads of fun working together. The juniors become what is termed upper classmenf' The opportunity to show dramatic ability is one of their new privileges. They are anxious to step into senior shoes! The seniors approach the end of their high school careers. Some are eager to leave: others wish they were I'reshmen again. Their minds hold a stockpile of memories-crannning for ex- ams, onion tears shed on Whataburger Day, accidentally slipping into the lake on class outings, Honor Society initia- tion . . . As we grow old, our high school friends will remain lor- ever vivid. llage S7
