With competition keen, and much of the season still left, the final outcome is yet to be detenninedf At present the squad has a respectable record of only two losses, and those were lost by a total of only three points. J N V Cheerleaders K. Wortman, W. Nohmer, A. Onderdonk, T. Raedder, F. O'Connell, J. Lake, V. Klinke The J.V. cheerleaders were of invaluable assistance in urging their team toward victory. They also deserve much credit for their handling of spectators during basketball season, thus contributing toward a good show of sportsmanship from the bleachers. The best support a team can have is controlled enthusiasm, which the cheerleaders certainly obtained. 55 -L Q? -sign Baseball 41 A A Coach: Mr Waldron Managers: R. Herron, M. Featuring a team with six .300 hitters the Cairo Central Gottlieb baseball team was a big threat in the county league last year. The competition was great and the five man pitching staff tried its best to bottle up the opposition batters. Excitement mounted throughout the season until the team was finally turned back, in the very last game by the Windham team. The year's record was 9 games won and 2 games lost.
