joyous music was spread throughout the auditorium as Top Sixteen sang Christmas tidings. The girls octet sang out to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. The annual Christmas Programs special guest, Mr. Latta, lead the audience in a medley of songs.

Mrs. Hopewell and Mrs. Evans help themselves to some of the food prepared by the homemaking department at their tea. Of all the choral programs given by the Music Department, the Christmas concert was the one most awaited as it provided an evening of enjoyment for the entire family. Santa and Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer tradition ally met with the audience to give all the children a special treat. Other groups added to the Christ- mas spirit by providing teas for the high school personnel. Choirs Sing Uul in Joyous Song One of the many happy walks in the halls 'was when the A Cappela choir caroled. 28

To break the tensions of semester exams, the men fac ulty members of CHS partici- pated in a fun day when they played the senior boys in a basketball game. This year, however, they not only found themselves versing the se- niors, but also the women faculty in an inter -faculty game. The men were handi- capped by wearing boxing gloves, but pulled through in an overtime victory with a score of 14--12.
