M1 VARSITY BASKETBALL Caernarvon girls, for the past few years, have eagerly anticipated the onening of basketball season each school term. It is the one sport around Caernarvon High School in which the girls take a major part. Under the able coaching of Mrs. Dorothy Groff ten lassies journeyed to the various game floors in the Tri-County League, Pennside and Perry . With Betty Jean Pike as their pilot the girls fought bravely through a not too successful season. Two other seniors, Irene Lilley and Shirley Ann Montgomery assisted Betty in her task of cantain of the team. C.H.S. JUNIGR HIGH BASKETBALL A new athletic group at Caernarvonis the Girl's Junior High Basket- ball. This team is composed of girls from the seventh, eighth and nineth grades. They played only one game this season, which was with Pennside, the victors. The final score for this contest was l2-SS, with Polly Learned as high scorer for Caernarvon.
