It's all very well to have coinage and skill And it 's fine to be counted a star, But the single deed with its touch of thrill Doesn't tell us the man you areg For there 's no lone hand in the game we play We must work to a bigger scheme, And the thing that counts in the world today Is, How do you pull with the team? They may sound your praise and call you grea They may single you out for fame, But you must work with your running mate Or you'll never win the game, For never the work of life is done By the man with a selfish dream, For the battle is lost or the battle is won By the spirit of the team. You may think it fine to be praised for skill, But a greater thing to do Is to set your mind and set your will On the goal that's just in viewg It's helping your fellowman to score When his chances hopeless seem, It's forgetting self till the game is o'er And fighting for the team - Edgar A, Guest LETTERM EN S CLLI B The Lettermen s Club whrch celebrated rts 7th brrthday thrs year IS an honorary orgamzatlon IH whrch all athletes who have earned the letter C rn football baseball bas ketball or track may be granted rnembershrp The amount of playrng done by each member hrs attttude and the coaches recom mendatrons are all taken 1nto consrderauon when awardmg thls C Thrs year s offrcers rn the club are Presrdent Sam Mrtchell V1ce Presrdent Rrchard Ruff and Secretary Treasurer John Rowan The advrsors are Mr Loomer Lettermen s Club Thrrd row, left to rrght Dav1d Doers Joseph Barta Harold Smrth Wrllram Turecek Gerald Srmth Kenneth Weltzrn Charles Ryan Ben Lorenz, Ronald Nelson Theordore Errckson Ne11G11les Second row Rrchard Jans sen Pat Mrller, Ralph Couey John Huffcutt John Rowan Gary Wrlbur James Pozarskr Marlyn Dusrck Kenneth P11 gum Frrst row Emery Peterson Donald Panzenhagen George Zwrefelhofer Robert Burke Rlchard Ruff Samuel Mrtchell Robert Freagon Bernard Schwetz, Nerl Hagedorn Mr Senstad and Mr De img CS Semor Lettermen Tlurd row left to rrght Gerald Smrth, Ben Lorenz, Harold Smrth Kenneth Prlgrrm, Marlyn Dusrck Second row Donald Panzenhagen, Joseph Barca, Charles Ryan Rrchard Ruff James Pozarskr, Samuel Mltchell Frrst row George Zwrefelhofer, Robert Burke, Kenneth Weltzrn, Ronald Nelson, Nerl Hagedorn MISCELLANY SCHOOL CALENDAR SEPTEMBER School started Football game at Augusta Student prctures taken Football game wrth Nerllsvrlle Football game at Cornell Bonfrre Snake dance Class sklts Homecomrng Thorp OCTOBER Football game at Owen Wlthee Marchmg Unlt marched Good Nerghbor Day Marchrng Unlt marched Football game wlth Gllman Teachers Conventlon No sehool Teachers Conventlon No school Football game wlth Menomorne Assembly Man Wrthout a Country Football game at Stanley NOVEMBER Sadre Hawkrns Dance Veterans Day Program by freshmen Assembly Program Basketball game at Ladysmrth Ladysmlth 58 Cadott 34 Basketball game wrth Thorp Thorp 45 Cadott 25 Dance after the game DECEMBER Basketball game at Bloomer Bloomer 41, Cadott 39 Assembly Tony Lavelh Basketball game at Cornell Cornell 48, Cadott 58 Basketball game wrth Augusta Augusta 62, Cadott 48 Dancers performed Basketball game wrth Altoona Altoona 47 Cadott 43 Pep Club rnruanon Dance after the game Chrrstmas Concert Basketball game wrth Chrppewa Falls Chrppewa 60 Cadott 48 Dancers performed Basketball game at Elk Mound Elk Mound 25 Cadott 34 Dramond Jubrlee Ball rn gym musrcal program durrng lntermlssron JANUARY 7 Basketball game at Black Rrver Falls Black Rlver 84 Cadott 45 'Z 6 12 ' ' 13 . . . 20 26 ' , , ' 27 ' - 4 - .
