Foreword Whatever the task or pleasure how large or small it may be it is the spirit it is done with that will mark its success of failure We the Senior Class will leave you many things but the most important of these will be of no material value it will be our spirit We hope that we have set examples that will be followed in the years to come We have always spoke and stood for what we believed in We stood as a class , not divided, but united. To the future seniors, for years to come , we wish you the pleasant and numerous days which we have spent at Cadiz High. We leave you with mixed emotions: but may a part of us , our spirit, remain with you always . THE EDITOR

:ft erinfencfenf Dr. Charles Davis Dear Pupils , Teachers and Friends of Cadiz High School: To discuss, as requested , in the brief space alloted, The Best Advice I Ever Received is like trying to describe the world in 25 words or less. The result will be confusing and inadequate. I've received lots of advice, on athletics , as a participant and as a coach: on education, as a student and as a teacher: on health from my doctor: on finance from interested well-wishers: on autos , 'IV's, diets, manners, boats, casting rods, shampoos , political candidates and other topics beyond my count and often beyond my comprehension. With a moment's serious reflection, however, I can eliminate most of such contributions for my benefit, well intentioned and wise though they may be. In final analysis , for the greatest good, I would recall two brief admonitions by Iesus. The first in Matthew VII: 33, Seek ye first the kingdom of God , and his righteousness: and all these things shall be added unto you. The second in Iohn V 24 He that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation: but is passed from death unto life. My prayers are that each pupil in our Cadiz Public Schools may so live that he may make an effective contribution to his home, community, state and nation: that he may learn to love the Lord God, with all his heart, soul, mind and strength: and his neighbor as himself. 4' Prl ncl pal Mr. Vincent Cooper As each school year passes , each one more quickly than the last, it is our hope that your goal has been realized in wiser and broaded aims in life Earnest application to school studies will pre pare you to earn a living or to go on to further educa tion. We all experience some triumphs and defeats but even these experiences enhance our memories of school days ---the triumphs, happy events to recall---the defeats , valuable lessons which teach us to try again.
