Summertime is light, bright break In the summer light of day, students manage to find mil- lions of things to do e some not as much fun as others. Many students enjoyed sleeping in and forgetting about the responsibilities of school during summer break. Other students took advan- tage of the break to earn money toward their car or college expenses. Others en- ioyed summer to the fullest by going to the beach, va- cationing with their families or friends or just hanging out. This summer, while I wasn't working, I was just mainly hapging out with my close friends, senior Emilee Farrell said. Toward the end of sum- mer, most students found themselves anxiously await- ing the new school year. All too soon summer turns to school On Aug. 21, 1995, students packed their bags and head- ed to school, leaving behind their summer routines. Another summer of fun and freedom ended. Instead of sleeping in, students rushed through Crowded hall- ways, trying to get to their all- too-early classes. When they finally got to class, they tried to Concentrate on school, but it was hard not to think about the freedom that was theirs just the day before. Freshmen started a new chapter in their lives, and their day was filled with ex- citement and nervousness. . f 1?-27 ilk .
