She has been teaching in the Norman and Caddo Hills Schools for 42 years, all in English but one. As she approaches her retirement, we wish her the very' best for the future and say a tremendous THANK YOU for her past years of dedication. She richly deserves to be honored by the school and community for her many years of service. Born and raised in Dover CPope Countyj, Arkansas, Mrs. Green entered Arkansas Tech fnow Arkansas Tech Universityj after high school. She landed her first and only teaching job at Norman in 1937 and later finished her BSE and Masters Degree in English at Henderson University. On December 24, 1940, she married Marvin E. Green, a Norman native. Their daughter, Kay, was born in 1947. Mrs. Green also has one granddaughter. During her long teaching career Mrs. Green has been active in many associations and has received many honors. For seventeen years she has been a member of the Advisory Council of Secondary Education, Arkansas State Department of Education. She served as secretary of Committee 542 of that Council for twelve years. Also with the Arkansas State Department of Education, she spent a three-year term on the Film Selection Committee, Secondary Division. Mrs. Green represented the community well as a member of the first appointed Montgomery County Library Board as well as the Garland-Montgomery County Library Board. She also holds memberships in the Arkansas Council of Teachers of English, the Arkansas Educatiqn Association, the National Education Association, and the Montgomery County Teachers Association, having been secretary of the MCTA several years. In her time outside of school, Mrs. Green enjoys reading and traveling. She is also an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys. Deaton of Hopper. Larry was born February 28, 1963, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, under the sign of Pisces. Larry stands 5'l0 and has brown hair and brown eyes. Larry has attended Caddo Gap and Caddo Hills for l2 years. His favorite subjects are Math and Agriculture. He is a member of FFA and Vice-President of the Library Club. Larry is the fourth of six children. He has 2 older sisters, Donna and Becky, one older brother, Ricky, one younger sister, Susie, and one younger brother, Tracy. Larry enjoys hunting, swimming, camping, and riding his motorcycle. After gradua- tion, Larry plans to work for Milchelm. Larry hopes to lead a happy and successful life. Joyce Kathleen McCarter Kathleen is the daughter of Dan and Ruby McCarter of Norman. Kathleen was born on January 28, I963, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, under the sign of Aquarius. She has blonde hair and blue eyes and stands 5'3 . Kathleen started school in Magnolia, Arkansas, and moved to Norman where she has attended Norman Elementary and Caddo Hills for ll years. Her favorite subjects are Math and Agriculture. Kathleen is the third of four children, with 2 older brothers, Mike and David, and one younger brother, Andy. Kathleen enjoys listening to music, swimming, traveling, and walking through the woods. Her future plans are to attend college at Southern Arkansas University and major in Pre-Pharmacy.
