SPIRIT ALIVE IN ’85 1985 BULLDOG CACHE HIGH SCHOOL, CACHE, OKLAHOMA SPIRIT In every aspect of the 1984-85 school year, spirit was exhibited to its fullest capacity. The year was filled with many accomplishments and achievements, and through it all, Cache High School abounded with spirit and determination to reach the top and become number one. The students as well as the faculty really made 1984-85 come alive with spirit! m We’re the Greatest Class Alive Senior Class of ’85 I CLASS MOTTO “Cherish Yesterday, Dream of Tomorrow, and Live for Today.” COLOR Red White FLOWER Red Rose Tonia Colwell George Hollander Scott Ahdosy Lamar Womack Margarita Wimple Shannon Hunt Brock Karges Neal Cox Michelle Graham Tommy Wesaw Shannon Stephen 8 Todd Baughman Lisa Pinchback Keith Anderson Lisa Howell Rick Watson Karen Apauty Richard Gordon Cynthia Rhodes Wendye Cisarik Terry Pauley Brenda Smith Ken Matthews 9 Dianna Apauty Cindy Bishop Kim Barton Andy Morrow Greg Ellis Stephanie Still Kenneth Atauvich Monique Enriquez Joni Burch Darrell Huddleston Rodney Tartsah 12 Rick Brown Pam Clark Mikki Malinowski Eric Barmettler Virginia Mitchell Karlton Trim 13 OFFICERS PRESIDENT — Andy Morrow VICE-PRESIDENT — George Hollander SECRETARY — Lisa Howell TREASURER — Rodney Tartsah REPORTER — Todd Baughman STU. The halls of Cache High School were filled with spirit and excitement as each of us pushed ourselves to our limits to reach the top. Athletically and academically many students achieved excellence. The year 1985 was definitely filled with all kinds of spirit! 19 Spirit-Filled Year The spirit in our country in 1985 was brought to its peak by the Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Mary Lou Retton cap- tured our hearts, as she did the gold medal, and the spirit in America soared to an all-time high! The Presidential election was a historic one as Geraldine Ferraro became the first woman ever to run for Vice-President. In the entertainment world, the Jackson’s Victory Tour grossed millions of dollars all across the country while Clara yelled “Where’s the Beef?!” The hot- test movies in 1985 were “Beverly Hills Cop”, “Ghostbusters,” and “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.” In all aspects of the year, 1984-1985 was spirit-filled! 21 Oklahoma Heritage Day took us back in time and taught us all a lot about our history. Booths and exhibits were set up for puuiic viewing, and many people participated in i'ne day-ion , event. This year, Cache High School was filled with school spirit. At every athletic event in 1985, school spirit was predominate. Whether we won or lost, the encouragement and enthusiasm of the student body was constantly uplifting. Alive With Memories 22 -“L Many students strived to do their personal best in all aspects of school life, and many students reached their goals. 1985 was a very fulfilling year for all of the students who passed through the halls of Cache High School. The memories that we all have of the past year will be cherish- ed by each of us for a long time. Any way you look at it, 1985 was alive with spirit! 23 Seniors Reach Goal Graduation was the accomplishment of a major goal for all of us. For thirteen years we have been moving toward graduation. Now that we have reached our goal, we must all set new ones. As we go out into the world on our separate patahs, each of us will be better people because we passed through the halls of Cache High School on our journey through life. 24 N ADMINISTRATION In Memoriam of Reford C. They spent the entire year lifting weights and practicing on preparation for the 1984-85 season. Throughout this season the Bulldogs have shown co-operation and determination on the way to making themselves a great team. With the help of a fine coaching staff and some very supportive fans the team wrapped up a regular season record of 6 wins and 4 losses. 126 ☆ ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ ☆ SCOREBOARD ☆ sir Cache....................40 Cache....................13 Cache....................20 Cache.....................7 Cache....................14 Cache.....................0 Cache....................12 Cache....................12 Cache....................12 Cache.....................7 Apache......................12 Walters......................0 Carnegie....................12 Frederick...................14 Elgin........................0 Hollis......................20 Anadarko.....................6 Mangum......................21 Hobart......................35 Sayre.......................20 £ ” 2 £ 2 2$” 2s” 2$” 2$” 2 2 2 2 2$” 2s” 2s” 2s” x}” Xh X}” 2s” 2 2$” J$ 33 3 3$ 3$ 3$ 3 33 3 33 33- 33 33 33 33 33 33 33 33 3 33 33 33 33 3s 3 3s 3s 3s 33 3s 33 33 33 3s Rodney Tarsah All-District All-State ALL-AREA Tony Horse Senior f Greg Ellis All-District Todd Baughman All-District All-Area ☆ ☆ ☆ Neal Cox Lettermen 128 129 23 xl ft 23 ft 23 ft ft 23 23 Xj ft 23 23 Xh X} Xh 23 23 23 3s 3 3y 3s 3s 2s 3s 2 ft ft ft ft ft ft ft ft ft ft X} ft Jr. High Endure Active Season 1st Row. Webster defines basketball as a game played by two teams of three forwards and three guards, of each, passing and dribbling a ball and scoring by throwing the ball through raised baskets. However, anyone who has ever observed the game realizes that much more goes into actual play. Hours of practice on basic fundamentals, endless free-throw shooting, and constant work on plays are involved. But, it takes even more than this. A great deal of time is spent on at- titude and sportsmanship of the team. This year the girls’ basketball team combined all of these things together to make themselves successful. Their efforts were rewarded with Comanche County Champions and District Champions. Then brought home the record of 17-7. 132 Season V Record Cache 69 Apache 49 Kf Cache 35 Elgin 34 Cache 64 Chatty 34 Cache 70 Frederick. . .. 39 Cache 29 Anadarko . . . 32 Cache 63 Indiahoma. . . 28 Cache 50 Carnegie .... 47 ■ 1 Cache 72 Grandfield. .. 51 Cache 50 Bray 47 Cache 52 Weatherford . 45 K Cache 39 Millburn 45 V Cache 53 Guymon . . . . 54 Lisa Howell All-Conference All-Area Cache..................72 Cache..................55 Cache..................25 Cache..................85 Cache..................64 Cache..................43 Cache..................71 Cache..................63 Cache..................42 Cache..................43 Cache..................47 Cache..................54 Apache.................55 Fletcher...............34 Indiahoma..............23 Geronimo...............47 Frederick..............51 Elgin..................45 Marlow.................50 Carnegie...............64 Anadarko...............39 Walters................41 Am-Po..................81 Healdton...............59 X X} X x X 23 x 23 23 X 23 x x} 23 23 23 23 23 23 23 23 23 2 23 23 23 X x} 23 23 23 23 23 23 23 X 23 23 23 x}- Xh X 23 X} 23 X 2 23 23 23 X| X X 23 X X} xj 23 23 23 X 133 X X X|” 2$” 2s” X}” X}” X}” 2s” 2s” 2s” X 2s” 2$” 2s” 2s” 2s” 2$” 2s” 2s” 2s” 2s” Xh 2s” 2s” 2s” 2s” 2s” 2s” X)” 2$” 2s” X XJ” 2s” 2s” 20” Bulldogs Take District The Cache Bulldogs have had another great season; and with deter- mination and drive these young men proved to be worthy of their success. Sports teaches an in- dividual self-discipline; it offers a feeling of belonging and a chance for students to work with others to ac- complish a common goal — victory over the oppo- nent. The students at CHS participate in football, basketball, track, softball, and baseball. The athletes at Cache excel as a team and as individuals. Many students reach personal goals; some win awards. The record at the end of the season does not always relfect what has happened on the playing field. Many times students work hard and do their best, yet they don’t manage to win. No matter what the scoreboard may say, every game or event at Cache is a CELEBRATION WITH CHAMPIONS. 147 All-Sports Banquet Give Athletes A Feeling of Success Football All-State..........
