Ever since she was born on November 16, not too many years ago, in Fletcher, Okla. It was her red hair and freckles that made Mrs. Reeves popular in high school. She attended Fletcher for twelve years where she graduated as Salutatorian of her Senior class. People are a major part of Mrs. Reeves’s life. The most important, however, are her family. Along with her family, her students, co-workers, employers, and supervisors are important to her. These people have done a lot to help her through her career. Mrs. Reeves is a shy hut friendly person; a modest hut brave person too. She loves privacy hut also enjoys companionship. Mrs. Reeves says she owes all her happy years of teaching to all her “wonderful” students. “My school, community, state, and nation have my strongest support and loyalty. I am sentimental about our flag and national anthem, and almost everything else.” — Mrs. Reeves — To show our greatest appreciation to Mrs. Reeves for devoting her best years to Cache High, we take great pride and pleasure in dedicating this 1981 yearbook to her. the Beautiful Our year was filled with patriotism as our prayers were answered and our people returned home. Anderson, I.. Hearn. The Cache Bulldogs marched to the end of the winningest season in the history of Bulldogs Football. Cache began their 9-2 season on a key win over Apache. Great plays by B. Edmondson, C. James, and Scott Maxwell got the Bulldogs on the scoreboard. When the smoke cleared, the Bulldogs won the game by a score of 21-0. Caging the Tigers of Tipton was the next feat for the Bulldogs. The game started with an early TI) by T. Zimmer. Two touchdowns later the Bulldogs had another win under their belt. The third game was more of a test than the previous two. The Bulldogs met the Cor- dell Blue Devils for a head-on collision. The Blue Devils took the early lead with a 90- yard tun by Chris Rainbolt on the first play of the game. This was about all it took to get the Bulldogs rolling. After another TD by the Blue Devils, the Bulldogs came back with a score of their own. The score at the end of the first half was 14-6. Anderson BULLDOGS KEEP WINNING TRADITION Coach Hunt got the Bulldogs moving in the se- cond half when Chris James threw a pass to Stacey Castleberry. Another run by Kevin Nemitz put the Bulldogs on top. The next game for the Bulldogs was the first defeat for the season and the only one in regular season play. Strong defenses by both teams marked the first half and also the third quarter. Finally Frederick scored and left the Bulldogs behind at the end with the score being 7-0. This defeat was still an improve- ment over past years when playing Frederick, now a 2A school. Crooked Oak was the next victim of the Bulldogs as they promptly defeated the Rough-nex 24-0. The only serious threat of scoring Crooked Oak came up with was in the 2nd quarter. They made it to the one yard line but time ran out. Homecoming was characterized by a complete rout of the Grandfield Bearcats, with Cache scoring in every quarter. Good performances by were pro- duced by all the players. Grandfield got by with only one TD late in the game. The final score was 36-8 in this lopsided match. B. Edmondson All Area C. Karges 106 A D Cache Bulldogs were far from being easy on their opponents as they marched to a 42-6 score over the young Elgin team, the weak sister of the district. Scoring was completed in every quarter by Cache with Elgin scoring once late in the last quarter. Walters was the next team to fall on the Bulldogs march to their first ever District Championship. The final score in this contest was 14-7, with Walters coming close to tieing the score late in the game, but failing. In the last game of the regular season, the Bulldogs had to win to go on to become the District Champs, or settle for runner-up. The Bulldogs decided that 1st was better than 2nd and quickly scalped the Indians 13-8. The Indians also had a chance at the end of the game to pull ahead, but they also failed, and the Bulldogs came out ahead. In what was to become the last game for the Bulldogs, the Cordell Blue Devils put an end to the Bulldogs quest for a chance to go to the State Tournament. Cordell felt that revenge was due, when the Bulldogs were short of extra points that made the difference. The season ended but yet the team went on to have 10 of 11 seniors picked as All-District players and Coach Hunt was picked to coach the West team in the All-State game. Two players also received All-Area recognition. Bill Edmondson and Chad Karges. Coach Hunt was also picked Coach-of-the Year for the southwestern area by the Lawton Constitution. 107 JR.
