Some of the other most important projects of the year include a Drive for Cystic-Fibrosis, the F.F.A.-F.H.A. Banquet held in Law- ton at the Hotel Lawtonian, a Style Show in which the Home-Ec girls modeled clothes that they had made themselves, and a dinner for the Senior mothers - the food of which was prepared by the girls them- selves. The 14th Annual edition of the Cache F.F.A. Rodeo was held on May 4, 5, and 6, and was a big success for the fourteenth time. Another large activity of the F.F.A. this year was the stock shows. Members showed at shows held at Cache, Chattanooga, Lawton, and Oklahoma City. During the first part of the year, the Chap- ter won a second place trophy for their float in the Cache Frontier Days Parade. The chapter advisor, Mr. C. E. Elling, retired after the 1971-72 school year. He has been a very fine inspiration to a great many boys in the almost thirty years he has been at Cache. As a service to the community, Betas sold birthday and anniversary calendars. To wrap up the first semester activities. Betas tried to make the lives of American servicemen a little more cheerful at Christmas time by sending a package of goods to Saigon and visiting Reynolds Army Hospital at Fort Sill. The second semester brought even more. First was the Beta play en- titled Uncle Tom'e Crabbin'. Then came National Beta Club Week. Activities at Cache included the selling of trees to benefit the school for the deaf in Chickasha, the presentation of U.S. and Oklahoma flags to both the school and a nursing home in Marlow, and a visit to Joseph's Nursing Home in Lawton. Next was the Beta Club Convention held in Oklahoma City in which Cache had both a candidate for state office, and an entry in the talent show. Lastly was the Miss CHS Contest. There were fourteen entries from various school organizations, and the pageant was quite a success. Reception after Installation 108 Undecoration after Miss CHS MRS. It has progressed well with approxima- tely 150 students completing their first year of in- struction. Very few of the students have had prior instrumental experience, and most of the students are in the Junior High School. They have performed at both the football and basketball homecomings and at the Christmas program. The Chorus has gone through its second year at Cache High. Consisting wholly of high school stu- dents, the class has developed into a music appre- ciation course. The Chorus has performed at P. T. A. meetings and at special school programs. MR.
