A new scene has interrupted my view. A great basketball team has just won the regionals at Altus and I see the coach jumping up and down with joy. She is a small woman, vaguely familiar. Oh! yes, I recognize her. It is Wanda Daubenspeck, famed woman basketball coach of the Southwest. The general turmoil at a radio show greets my vision now. It is My Friend Irma, and playing Irma is Dorothy Lynch. But you would hardly recognize her nowg she has changed so. I believe she's better than the real one. She got' her start by being the ticket puncher at the school cafeteria where she had to deal with so many wacky characters waiting in line to be served. Now I see a freshly graded street with forms around it. There is a man who is tall and large directing the work. He seems to be the boss, from the orders he gives, and as he comes this way I recognize him as Thurman Bishop. The switch now is to a switchboard of a large telephone office, Operating Board No. 9 is a pretty girl putting through a long distance call. As she turns this way I can see the farniliar face of Loretta Slatten. The light is fading now from the ball, but I can still see, last but not least, a man wearing two guns swung low and dressed to kill for a moving picture. Playing the role of the two-gun outlaw hero is Billy Frank Runnels. He was always reading western books, so I guess he is living the life. He was always happy and showed it with a smile to everyone. He always drank his Hadacol to keep young. The light is out. Only darkness is left as this Senior Class of '51 goes on its way. - King Zircon, the Crystal Gazer
