,, 3,- And, as I look across the road I see another man. He is tall and blond. He seems to be raising more cattle than he is farming. He, too, is doing very well. This is Harvey Byrd. Then away across the sky I see a plane. And through my crystal balll recognize the flyer as Dale Bowman, now flying for the U.S. Air Force. He always did want to fly. Now, as I again look into the future I see a class room. At the front of the room I see a very stately looking teacher. She is tall and very easy to look at. Marian Miller is just starting her first year of teaching after completing college. A newspaper office! Owned and partly operated by Charlene Bennett, Editor I This is the present scene I now have in the crystal. Charlene is doing pretty good, along with the help of her husband. She had plenty of practice while editing the school paper, I remember. Now comes the ice, and I see Reford Ulrich, as owner and operator of the largest ice plant in Oklahoma City. He's a very successful man now and smokes 12-cent cigars. He has a large office and is just pretty well to do financially. He got his start by being the Cache City iceman. Again the scene shifts to a family at home. It is Susan Gilbert this time. She and Ollie Price were married when school was first out after graduation. They're both happy. It must have been love. Now on the other side of this crystal ball, I see another farmer feeding his cows. He has just returned from the army and is now raising hogs and cattle along with his farming. He always did raise good stock. That's Louis Wayne Caha I'm talking about. Now my eyes look out on a shiny basketball court, and playing center is a tall dark man, No. Z6. He has just sacked up two points, and as he trots down the court I see that it is Earl Yeahquo. He is now teaching school and playing ball. Way out on the desert I see J. Mack Cox. He is carrying pencils, paints and such and is fixing to draw a picture of some cacti, for that's his job. He is now known as Big Mack, the famous picture post card artist of the west. Into a drug store I now seem to be moving. Behind the counter is a lady pharmacist, Ladine Stewart, the only lady pharmacist in Lawton. She is also a registered nurse, but is just working a little now for a change.

Glass pfzoplzecxl Looking into my crystal ball I see another senior class as they are starting through life with vigor and vitality and as the forms of people come to shape I recognize: First of all as I look into the crystal ball I see a pretty nurse in a hospital, and as she faces this way I recognize her. She is Katherine Smith just corn- pleting her last year of training, and I predict she will be as successful as she is pretty. Then the scene shifts to a large garage and I see a man just cleaning up after a day's work. Through the grease and smudges on his face I can still make out the countenance of Charles Hutson, a very successful mechanic and garage owner. As I now move my hand over the crystal a race track at Indianapolis appears, and the announcer is' calling the winers of the car races. The Winner, driving Car No. 17, is Troy Smart, greatest daredevil driver of all times. Then, like a flash, I see Marian Good through the crystal. She is married and settled down on a ranch, where she and her husband are raising quarter horses and cattle, and do they look happy! Nowl seem to be out on a baseball field. Playing second base, I see Johnnie Bob Runnels, who is doing mighty well, now playing for the Cardinals. He always was quite a baseball player. A sudden change occurs in the crystal ball and I see Dellia Simms. She is just going into the house, after coming out of the flower garden where she and her husband have been working. They have a nice, beautiful home in Lawton and are doing very well from the looks of things. Now I see Anita Jones. She is married to a very handsome young man. They have two children, a boy who is two years old and a girl who is seven months old. The children are ve ry cute and Anita is quite proud of them. The scene turns now to a large office and taking dictation is Libby Ann Hines, the boss's private secretary. She's making lots of money and enjoying her job, from the looks of the smiles the boss just gave her. There could be more to this, but I must not tarry he re. A quiet peaceful scene has just come into view. On a farm at the close of the day, sitting on the porch content with his day's work is LeRoy Byrd, a very prosperous farmer.

A new scene has interrupted my view. A great basketball team has just won the regionals at Altus and I see the coach jumping up and down with joy. She is a small woman, vaguely familiar. Oh! yes, I recognize her. It is Wanda Daubenspeck, famed woman basketball coach of the Southwest. The general turmoil at a radio show greets my vision now. It is My Friend Irma, and playing Irma is Dorothy Lynch. But you would hardly recognize her nowg she has changed so. I believe she's better than the real one. She got' her start by being the ticket puncher at the school cafeteria where she had to deal with so many wacky characters waiting in line to be served. Now I see a freshly graded street with forms around it. There is a man who is tall and large directing the work. He seems to be the boss, from the orders he gives, and as he comes this way I recognize him as Thurman Bishop. The switch now is to a switchboard of a large telephone office, Operating Board No. 9 is a pretty girl putting through a long distance call. As she turns this way I can see the farniliar face of Loretta Slatten. The light is fading now from the ball, but I can still see, last but not least, a man wearing two guns swung low and dressed to kill for a moving picture. Playing the role of the two-gun outlaw hero is Billy Frank Runnels. He was always reading western books, so I guess he is living the life. He was always happy and showed it with a smile to everyone. He always drank his Hadacol to keep young. The light is out. Only darkness is left as this Senior Class of '51 goes on its way. - King Zircon, the Crystal Gazer
