Ld LL,,iL sf ii it 1 The 1972-73 Cabrillo Varsity Water Polo team glided e to a victorious season under the supervision of coach Bob Boyer. The Conqs made CIF with the fantastic antics of Terry Ensley, the best goalie in the league and Gary Anderson, Jeff Heidmous, Gordon McManus, Mike Rich, Chuck Younglove. They fired their way in with fantastic shots from all the players. The Conqs made C.I.F. all by themselves but due to a rule in C.I.F. they has to be Co- Champs with Lompoc after the Conqs stomped them 7-4.

The 1973 Cabrillo Junior Varsity football squad completed it's first year as a separate unit from Varsity, b compiling a 7-2 record. The J .V. squad was led by such offense standouts as Quarterback Kelly Hubbard, Halfback Paul Shannon and Fullbacks Jeff Benson and Jim Kale, plus an outstanding offensive line, they led Cabrillo to supremacy. Defense backers Kirk Dalton, Jim Kale and Mike Adams joined by defensive end Bill Gile and Frank Cardone held many teams scoreless and gave up a minimum amount of points to the others.
