The California Scholarship Federation, attracted top students with 3.5, or above, grade point average. Guest speakers and films were brought to the meetings and students benefited from their observations. The club was held together by sponsor Mr. Darrell Adams. The Speech Club, sponsored by Mr. Steve Ward, had a very successful year in the many tournaments they attended. mat maids and multi-media They Acted Through Communication and Service Verbal and non verbal communication is the reason for the existence of multi- media. The group as a whole is not just interested in studying different types of communication, but in actually relating to other people. This is accomplished by making 8mm films, slides, tapes. Also, by using sign language and body movements. The Image reveals the groups genius in showing the different aspects of communication. Mat Maids were a vital assistance to the wrestling program. Taking times, scores and announcing were a few of many jobs that Mat Maids rendered. Decorating the exercise room to promote team moral was done every week by a team of Mat Maids. The Mat Maids have set a trend which will continue throughout Cabrillo's wrestling seasons. Top: members of the Multi-Media class. student government and supreme court Laws Were Passed, Then Ruled On The student government and Supreme Court were kept busy this year by various school events, passing laws, and then interpreting them.
