concert band Music In Perfect Harmony One of the largest musical groups on campus is the Cabrillo Concert Band. These students play a variety of instruments as well as pieces of selected music. Performances throughout the year are a mandatory requirement for the class. This year under the direction of Mr. Glen Newcomb, the Concert Band made an Elementary School Tour and participated in the Concert Festival competition at Lompoc High School. The Concert Band, along with the other Cabrillo Bands, helped in all the fund-raising activities. Top Left: Cornet players blow their instruments and their minds. As Well as performing in all the band concerts, the Stage Band participated in the Dan Rader Jazz Clinic, the Dos Pueblos Jazz Festival and the Burbank Jazz Festival. Under the new direction of Mr. Wayne Asbury the Orchestra took part in numerous concerts during the school year. Included in their performances was a joint concert with the Lompoc High School Orchestra.

They loved to spend their time in singing, and they did. The first performances were the Christmas concerts, Where the Intermediate Choir presented a medley of modern Christmas carols, and the Concert Choir combined experience and talent to portray 'The Song of Christmas' In the spring, the Concert Choir traveled south to state competition to place highly among the choirs in the state. Both the Concert Choir and Intermediates were active throughout the year raising funds for their trips. The Concert Choir topped it off by performing at the baccalaureate.
