As Well as performing in all the band concerts, the Stage Band participated in the Dan Rader Jazz Clinic, the Dos Pueblos Jazz Festival and the Burbank Jazz Festival. Under the new direction of Mr. Wayne Asbury the Orchestra took part in numerous concerts during the school year. Included in their performances was a joint concert with the Lompoc High School Orchestra.

future nurses and radio clubs Their Goals Aimed Towards The Future VW KJGCF 9 9000 0 One of the healthiest clubs around was the Future Nurses Club. The club sponsored by Mrs. Littlejohn, gave a party for long tuerm patients at the local hospital and went on various educational field trips. Operators of one of the finest 'ham' radio stations in the state, was the Cabrillo Radio Club sponsored by Ron Diddel. Many obtained radio licenses or helped Work on the other projects throughout the year. A club that was far out as well as tuned in. flop: Members of the Radio Club. concert band Music In Perfect Harmony One of the largest musical groups on campus is the Cabrillo Concert Band. These students play a variety of instruments as well as pieces of selected music. Performances throughout the year are a mandatory requirement for the class. This year under the direction of Mr. Glen Newcomb, the Concert Band made an Elementary School Tour and participated in the Concert Festival competition at Lompoc High School.
