As the year ends another graduating class faces the endg the end of four unique years that can never be repeated. Starting out in our Freshman year, we experienced the thrill of being in with the upper grades. ' How different it was on that first day when we discovered all the freedoms high school had to offerg a big difference from the junior high. Being known as the class of 73 in class competitions really showed the student body We weren't to be picked on for long. How far away it sounded in 1969, the ear, 1973. Passing and surviving the impossiliile Freshman year, we became Sophomores. Who can ever forget the first time of being behind the wheel of a car or dissecting a frog? As Juniors we were finally classified as upperclassmen. Class rings showing this distinction was one of the highlights of the year. Another special privilege the Junior class earned was their attendance at the J unior-Senior Prom. Class officers were busy in planning the Sadie Hawkins Dance, the Prom and the upcoming big year. Early in September marked the beginning of the end for the seniors. A Halloween party, Fifties dance and Senior portraits were some of the main events of the first semester. The ending of first semester brought the parting of friends as some students aduated mid-term. Second semester was filled with anxiety as the big day approached. Fun-Elled activities as the Senior ditch day and the Junior-Senior Prom were part of our last days at Cabrillo. Endings are always sad, but think back to all the memories that were made. How can one forget American Government, the after game dances, the fire drills that for some reason lasted twent minutes, the Lompoc-Cabrillo rivalry, fill-in-the-bubble state achievement tests or a bottom ibcker on a rainly day?
