The 1978-79 FBLA membership doubled in size over last year. The total membership increased to 82. The activities of the club also increased. In October the club attended a district workshop on the ASU-Beebe campus. Knowledge and ideas were shared by members throughout the district. In December members published the programs for the Cabot Invitational Holiday Tournament. One-half of the proceeds were given to the March of Dimes. The gift amounted to 5250. The club will participate in the district eliminations to be held in March on the UCA campus in Conway. Winners The.l978-79' FBLA officers are: Dayna Barger - Secretary, Gerry Waddell - will then compete on the State level in President, Cindy Hubby - Treasurer, Lyn Fruchey - Reporter, Kay Clark - April' Sponsors for the club are Mr. Lloyd Beasley, Mrs. Kathryn Shain, Mrs. JoAnn White, and Mrs. Lynn Hefner. Historian, Linda Craig - Vice President, and Philip Clark - Parliamentarian.

The Library Club was once again helpful to students needing books. Members assisted students in finding their way around the library to the books they needed, while they themselves learned many of the library's uses or functions. Through leadership from JoAnn Gross, sponsor, members learned valubale assets of the library which they may use throughout their entire lifetime.
