GCE In 79 The 1979 membership of the General Cooperative Education Club is said to be the best yet. Mrs. Martha Marshall is the teacher coordinator of this organization. The new Western Sizzlin in Jacksonville was the location of this years officer installation. Once again G.C.E. held their annual fashion show. It was a great success. Elaine Kelly, the reigning Ideal Miss of Lonoke County, performed an Arabic dance. Another fund raising project for the year was selling doughnuts, which also proved to be a great success. Most of the G.C.E. students leave at noon each day. The students various jobs cover a wide range, and each student feels a certain pride and satisfaction for the job they do. Each student will look back on their 1978-79 year in G.C.E. as one of deep fulfillment. With their culture, their customs and their modes of living, France has often been regarded as a land of excitement. This year's French Club tried to capture some of that excitement in many of their activities. Under the supervision of Mr. Rick Johnson, Jane Grady, the president of the French Club, and the rest of the club members had their own interpretation of the holiday Mardi Gras, and planned their festivities much in the same manner that the real Mardi Gras is conducted. The club also took a Spring Field Trip, went to Jacques and Suzannes for dinner, and made a visit to Harding College for the Annual Language Festival.
