This year twenty-five new members were inducted on the afternoon of October 8, 1978. GCE In 79 The 1979 membership of the General Cooperative Education Club is said to be the best yet. Mrs. Martha Marshall is the teacher coordinator of this organization. The new Western Sizzlin in Jacksonville was the location of this years officer installation. Once again G.C.E. held their annual fashion show. It was a great success. Elaine Kelly, the reigning Ideal Miss of Lonoke County, performed an Arabic dance. Another fund raising project for the year was selling doughnuts, which also proved to be a great success. Most of the G.C.E. students leave at noon each day. The students various jobs cover a wide range, and each student feels a certain pride and satisfaction for the job they do. Each student will look back on their 1978-79 year in G.C.E. as one of deep fulfillment.
