K: : f vii School publications, whether it -. be the newspaper or the year- Q1 book, are always subject to much Qt, - -lo X M t W as - - r debate. No matter how much work goes into it, there's always something not quite right. A few may be misspelled, the print may be smeared, or a name be wrong. These things happen to everyone. However I feel that the C.H.S. school publications served their intended purposes quite well. Of course there is always room for improvement The entire student body is always encouraged to contribute to their school newspaper or yearbok but few do so. If we had professional journalists and photographers at our disposal daily we could possibly come closer to attaining perfec- tion in our publications. This is a student publication. Please accept it as such and be proud it was done by C.H.S. students. We have done our best covering the six geographically expand- ing campuses that make up the Cabot Public Schools. Velma Abington Advisor The yearbook What an experience' Working on the yearbook has been a fun time as well as a time of learning You HAD to get along with people in order to solve problems A lot of compromising goes into publishing a yearbook There are also these times when you want to crawl into a hole when you discover a mistake to latell But all in all it is a great experience even with the unset deadlines the left out pictures misspelled words crooked art lines heads chopped off of pictures etc I would not trade the time I have spent working on the yearbook for anything else I just hope that my efforts to publish this yearbook satisfy the de mands and high standards of the students of C.H.S.! Nila Hill Editor A yearbook is a HUGE undertaking that requires hard work and dedication and this year we were blessed with plenty of both' I m proud to have been a part of it. Clay Copper Editor eclltofi mote Staff plorri o good book This year the 1978-79 Panther annual staff worked hard in or- der to present a good book to the many Panthers patrons. Each staff member put a little bit of their own personality in each of their assignments in this year's annual. Everyone worked diligently compiling layouts, gathering pictures, planning and re-plan- ning, but if you picked out the ones that worked hardest and got the most frustrated, they would have to be the two Pan- ther Editors, Clay Cooper and Nila Hill. But most of all, the Panther advisor and sponsor, Mrs. Velma Abington. Each one of the staff mem- bers, including the editors and Mrs. Abington, tremendously enjoyed working on the Year- book in spite of all the little problems and mistakes that they had to try to overcome this year. If the staff could tell you one thing they learned this year, it would have to be, The most painful way to learn is through your mistakes. All in all, the Panther staff had a very good year.
