Mrs. Devona Brannon is the sponsor of the junior high art club, she is also the art teacher of these students. Mrs. Brannon is very interested in each and every one of her students and she feels art helps to build the personality, along with confidence and hand-eye co-ordination. She hopes to introduce new forms of printing this year. Her students are exploring aspects of oil painting, pastels, pencil and charcoal. Several of the club members did very well in the Cabot City Art show. Debbie Roberts won best of show, she also brought home a first in crafts division. Danny Wamack came in first in pencil drawings, he also won first place in pen and ink. Other first place winners were Dana Morrison in mixed media, Dawn Wilks in pastels, and Cindy Eagle inywater color and marker divison. The Cabot Public School Annual Art Show is coming up in the spring. The theme thislyear is going to be a duel theme, Art is the song of life and Art adds life to everything thats nice . A lot of work goes into these shows, it takes all the schools working together to get these shows going. Everyone in the Art Department feels they are a success, they spur a lot of interest in the community, especially with the parents. Mrs. Brannon feels art is important to everyone of all ages, she says people enjoy art from the time they scribble to the time they quiver of old age. U J' 5- XX! ' if P2 QQ ' f P X-or P300-

Each member participating has earned self respect and pride in attain- ing high goals. Each Choir took part in the Fall Winter concerts. ln the Fall, some ofthe members tried out for Region choir. Cabot is proud to have two members, Scott Patterson SL Melissa Tozer in that choir. ln the spring, each group went to the region festival.
