HRT CLUB 'N Q The stained glass panther window in the back- ground of this group picture was one of the Art Club's projects last year and was a great success. All of the history rooms will have their walls deco- rated with murals of various historical scenes done by this year's art students. The students worked on the paintings during their study hall periods. The walls were nearing completion as the yearbook went to press this year. Many CHS students entered paintings in the Art Show in connection with the Cabot - We're Back celebration early in the school year. The Art Club has worked hard this year to beautify the school campus. In the eyes of most viewers, their goal had been accomplished. Cabot Environmental Awareness Committee Top row: Jan Carver, Maryanne Pryor, Shelly Rupe, Mr. Glen McDaniel. Middle row: Kevin Puckett, Mr. Robert Tiney. Front row Anita Sanson, Sharon Doyal, Janelle Johnson, Billy Sikes, and David Rose. C.E.A.C. is one of Cabot High School's newest organizations. It was started last spring when a group headed by Mr. Glen McDaniel and Mr. Robert Tiney travelled to Bryant High School for a workshop. The workshop increased the interests among the Cabot students and work on an outdoor classroom soon began. The classroom is located behind Mr. Elliott's home, across from the football field. Two teaching sites, nature trails, and a display case are included in the classroom. There are plans for tree labels, a pond, and possibly a tree house for bird watching. C.E.A.C.'s goal is to share the environment and try to teach others about it and the protection measures for it. C.E.A.C. shares environmental information by going into lower grades and presenting environmental study units. Student aids and club members provide this service.
