At the gate I had no difficulty in getting the permit to fish. The temperature had the thermometer in a daze. I went up the right side of the beautiful lake and started fishing. Soon I was attracted by two maidens up a sycamore tree calling to me (tenderly), Please help us! Please help us! The cows are after us. Then it seemed to be my move, so I took a brush in my hand and moved the cows (long horn) to one side and the little maid- ens came down to go back around the lake to the others of the nurses outing party. I asked them why they were afraid of the Long Horn Cows. Answer: They were looking at us. I said, Didn’t you have any one look at you before? Answer: Not like that. Now to the serious side of the event. After the student nurses went across the lake to join the others there was a great amount of laughter and good time shouts. Then all was quiet for a few moments and singing of one of the greatest hymns came over the lake, What A Friend We Have In Jesus, and other hymns (Vespers). In conclusion, I caught two fish and realized that there is hope for a world in tur- moil and strife with leaders who recognize the Savior of the world. Gratefully yours, 56 Raymond D. Snyder V. M.
