The Health Sciences Depart- ment makes the headlines with its attempts to solve the dilemma in the Department Chairman posi- tion. Seated Dr. James Garner is anonymously supported by some, directly accused by others. Edna Edelstein's nomination tor ANTS fAssociation ot Non- Traditional Studentsl Vice- President is denied by committee members with a hair's-width 8-6 vote. Advisory positions seem to be key issues around this time. For the Rockers, we've got Rick Derringer in the Lecture Hallg for the Swingers, there's the C.W. Post Jazz Ensemble in the Cine- ma. Energy is at a surplus for bath. ln Baseball, 7 straight wins makes the team ripe for a loss, but we grab another victory from Stony Brook. 3l games into the season brings an impressive 23-8 record and a spot in the NCAA Finals competition. Final finals are approaching, but so is TGHC Day lThonk Goodness for Hillwood Com- monsl. This year, members ofthe HC Staff rustle us up by going Western. We have to watch out for the Cacti once we get our free balloons on our way across the hay-covered floor to buy tacos and corn dogs. There's apple- bobbing, movie Westerns, horseshoe pitching, and butfulo- chip-kicking music. Plus a fashion show with guest appearances by Summit Editor, Steve Medwid, and Bermuda's .left Cohen. Dave O'Dell, Pioneer football linebacker makes the most of his achievements and signs a rookie contract with the New York Jets. Dave is now prohibited from trying out for any other pro teams and will begin rookie camp soon. Congrats once again!
