We all miss the original faculty member, Alvin CW. Bahnsent On the occassion of his retirement, several key L.l.U. representatives have a Testimonial Dinner in his name. Prof. Bahnsen has been associated with CW. Post since its inception, and no one will ever offer such constructive insights and perspectives as his. l K X l

In a class all by himself, Mr. Rich Siporin is honored by Gam- ma Psi Delta. Yes, Sippy receives the UGLY MAN OF THE YEAR AWARD in the name of his fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau. The jar in front of his picture contained more money than any of his 32 competitors. Rich's sympathetic friends donate their spare dollars with the understanding that they are contributing to the commun- ity's fund drive to finance plastic surgery and cosmetic alterna- tions for the lucky winner of this contest. We're sure Mr. Siporin thanks each and every one of us from the bottom of his heart. We spoke with the man after his surgery: l'm so pleased with my new face that I'm going to make sure that all the people who contributed to my Fund receive a bottle of John- ny Walker Black - on me, of course. Incidentally, congratulations, Rich, for being chosen to be in Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universi- ties. To add to the List of Beauties, fashion models display an array of looks for the 80's. SGA's pro- duction, with the aid William Matt Haircutters, keeps our eyes glued to the stage, rather than the clock that tells us we're missing classt Many of us opt for sneak pre- views of Punk fashion instead of old slides of Pre-Renaissance art. And none of us say: Next phase, new wave, dance craze, any ways, it's still missing class to mel -.kai J-,Q '9'-QQ? A ffQi ' NM ,-,. . - x ,, .. N , mul' . M . 1, , -Si:- .4-,431

APSL WCWP, our very own radio sta- tion, makes a public relations move and installs a large window, exposing to passersby the room where the DJ rotates the discs for us all. First on the FM dial, the station has established an a.m. radio show and has gained a lot of listeners this year. Here's a riddle: When does a lawn turn into a lake? Give up? When almost four inches of rain fall in almost five hours. We find ourselves dodging puddles, wading through leakage in Humanities basement, using umbrellas inside Hillwood Com- mons, and floating to the bath- rooms in our dorms. r Y--w-wqn...... .x. sit. Here's another: When does a farting carnival turn into a poetry reading? ln the Springtime, of course! lt's the annual Beanfeast. This year brings the distinguished Irish poet, John Liddy and his repetoire of works to Post. We eat, drink, discuss and converse like never before. You don't have to be an En- glish major to enjoy the bi-annual publication, Loomings. This year's Editor, Michael Capurso compiles two great issues that in- clude photography, short stories, artwork, and a lot of thought and effort.
