On Monday we listen to congo music and watch African dancers. lt's NBG's Kwanza, which means the first fruits in Swahili. Wednes- day we watch the tree in Hillwood Commons light up as we sing carols in celebration of the first Christmas. The Fall l979 semester has en- ded. We look back onthe past years of college and realize how quickly they've passed. With just one more semester, some of us will savor the next several weeks and others will impatiently endure them. For now, we look forward to the holiday vacation, Dean's term, intersession employment, and most uniquely, THE 8O's.

Coach Alex Bernstein leaves his players at the close of their season, handing in his resignation along with the coaches of wrestling, football, and baseball.

Interim Athletic Director Bill Ashley takes over in Green's stead. After two years of collecting dust, our dome will receive a 53.9 million face life to be completed by Fall l98l. The Concert Theatre will house 2,250 uphol- stered seats where community members and students will see shows, exhibits, seminars, ballets, but unfortunately, no sporting events. We celebrate the l98O Winter Olympics for more than two weeks in Hillwood Commons with a slide show, ski demonstrations and films, as well as a fashion show. Although sparcely attended, a skating outing to Christopher Morley Park ends the Post festivities, but not the national Olympic excitement. PTC's presentation of The Good Doctor is exciting and en- joyable, as is the Pioneer Track team in motion. Our team has consistently been tough rivals in Collegiate Track Conferences throughout the years. Our Cross Country Track team, lead by Captain Roger Gay, has competed months before with such determination and vigor that it has set a standard of commit- ment, endurance, and unity for 66 l
