After the late night Friday, we awake to Southern Rock band, Otter Creek, playing at a barbe- que in the Old Rat. Beer, food, and friends blast us off to another day of partying. Frisbees flying, hamburgers frying, friends talk- ing, socialites stalking. lt's a great time. Sunday is a big day for our Equestrian Team. We placed first in the ratings for the show at Montclair State and again at Pace the next week. We post our way up in intercollegiate stand- ings. Sunday night at C.W. Post Cinema brings us Richard Pryor- -Live. At the admission of 50.50, who can resist a cheap laugh? Monday is a day off from clas- ses, but not a night oft from the Rat. A six foot screen televises a CWP favorite, Monday Night Football. By this time most rush parties have had their effect on prospec- tive brothers or sisters and pledge masters are establishing the latest set of rules and regulations. Pledges for the various frats and sororities now begin to perform their duties in the resident cate, the catwalk of Hillwood Com- mons and other locations on campus. For the next several weeks, we see students doing some strange things and wonder how many of them are pledging. XXX sg,- 15,1 rn' 'ilk

And if one weekend isn't enough! The next weekend is Home- coming. Our Alumni are honored at numerous Welcome Back breakfasts, picnics, open house parties. The day of the football game the Pionerettes, our new- born kickline, gave their debut performance in front of a capac- ity crowd and begin the halt time ceremonies. To add to the list of firsts, we have two Homecoming Queens, Cheri Von Hughes and Janet Villela, and o Homecoming Kingg Matt Kroljic. Our yells pierce the ears of USMMA, when the scoreboard shows Post 55-Kings Point 0 at the end of the game. Victory celebrations fill the dorms and Hillwood Commons.
