A .. Q.. - W.. ss ..,.a.x, 9.4! The Intramural Program enjoyed another successful year. Joanne Sullivan and the staff of the Student Activities office. For the first time in years it seemed deadlines were met with a minimum of aggravation much to everyone's satisfaction. Student Government had a re- latively quiet year. The endless court battles which have plagued the SGA and ANTS in the past were non-existent this year. Our SGA, while not engaging in any dramatic new innovations lwith the exception of Fall Weekendl should be thanked for providing quality, tried and true program- ming. We were treated to two fun- filled weekends, some important lectures, a few concerts, and a top notch movie series. ANTS also enjoyed a fine year. Besides their candlelight buffets, their two family days were both entertain- ing and well attended. ln the spirit of cooperation ANTS and the Opticon came to an agreement allowing graduate students to be photographed for the yearbook. Cooperation and progress ex- tended to fraternities and soror- ities too. Many old grudges were pushed into the background as groups often combined to run events. In the spirit of progress, leading the way as he has for many years is Joe Benedict. This year Joe was a new man, desiring to work more closely with students. The secre- taries that man Joe and Joanne's offices should be given medals of valor. Mary, Carol, Maryanne, and Clem all have the patience of saints and nerves of stell. Another group deserving praise is that of the graduate assistants in the Student Activities office. To them we say thank you, Michele lit's a dance, not a beer blastl, Kevin, Mark, Janet, and Carolyn, for a job well done. This year may not go down in history as the most exciting in the area of activities but the ground- work that was laid down should reap bountiful results in the near future. For this reason anyone who took part in Clubs and Activi- ties this year has a right to be proud of the work they did. 165
