The Pioneer lacrosse team, improving on last season's 3-l l record, finished this season with an outstanding record of 8-6. We were ranked fifth in the nation in Divi- sion ll for most of the season. We opened our season with an exciting l4-O romp over St, Johns University. Vic- tories over Yale UO-91, and Dowling U3- 3J came next against top-ranked St. Lawr- ence. The Pioneers lost IO-9, in a very rough contest. Post then went on to beat Oswego State U5-71 and then lost to Ithi- ca C22-31. Next the Pioneers beat New Haven UO-91, with Pioneer Goalie Tom Menten and attackmen Mark Out- erbridge, Dan Millner and Tom Schecker continuing to lead the team in the remain- ing gamesg the Pioneers beat Villanova U6-21, Southampton U8-l J, Farleigh Dickinson University U3-51 and lost to Monclair State College U5-141 and Army U2-63. is 2:21

imgj, A-fi. The ever growing intramurals prog- ram provided many fun-filled hours of athletic competition for us to watch as well as participate in. The program, which was headed by Post alumnus Bob DeBonis provided over l,OOO of us with varied contests in sports rang- ing from bowling to flag football. The contact sports were dominated by a Riggs Hall based team, the Bon- gers. For the second consecutive year, the Bongers won the flag foot- ball championship, defeating the Magnificent Seven 26-O. This Bonger team, which included our SGA Presi- dent Steve Hornstein and SGA Vice President Larry Biondi eventually trek- ked to New Orleans to play in the National Intramural Flag Football Championships, but unfortunately our men from Post faced stiff com- petition down south, losing to Ohio State's team among others. The Bongers once again reigned supreme in softball. For the second consecutive year they captured this championship too. Outstanding pitching by Brian Spanky Kenny combined with the powerful hitting by captain TJ. Costa to propel the Bon- gers to numerous victories.
