PETER K. EWALD Provost, C. W. Post C The chief administrative officer of C. W. Post College is the Provost. This posi- tion must be filled by a man of ability, understanding, and vision. This man is Dr. Peter K. Ewald. A native of New York City, Provost Ewald pursued his higher education at New York University, where he received his B.A., M.A. and Ph. D. degrees. His impressive ability in the fields of business and political science led to his appointment in T955 as Assistant Professor of Corporate Finance at New York University. Later, in 1960, after demonstrating a high degree of dedication to education and research, Dr. Ewald won an appointment as Dean of the College of Business Administration at St. John's University. In 1963, Dr. Ewald came to C. W. Post College to take the position of Dean of the Evening Division and Director of the Division of Business Administration. One year later, Dr. Ewald became the Provost of C. W. Post College. Provost Ewald has shown himself to be a warm and understanding admin- istrator. He has emphasized close relationships among students, faculty, and the administration. His firm and imaginative guidance has been important in giving the C. W. Post College community a strong atmosphere of maturity, understanding, and cooperation. Today's complex college community needs a leader who can effectively guide communications. This is one of the many areas in which Provost Peter K. Ewald has achieved outstanding success. His interest in the students and in the development of the college can be seen in the admiration and respect which he enioys among faculty and students. ollege
