At C.W. Post College today's youth looks to another representative of youth for inspiration and understanding. It is for this reason that Opticon 1968 is dedicated to Dean Philip R. Wentzel. Dean Wentzel's pride in and enthusiasm for the College began during his undergraduate years here at Post. Through participation in campus activities, he began to learn how the College could grow best through change. His personal goals of achievement, as seen by the accomplishment of his Master's Degree and his present work on his doctorial degree, is an example which encourages us to aspire towards our own goals. Dean Philip R. Wentzel has been an inspiration to the College and its students. It is to him, past Opticon Editor and present Assistant Dean of Students, that we warmly dedicate this book.
