Dear Fellow Students, Over the last ten years, the approach to yearbook journalism has undergone some drastic changes. The watchword among yearbooklstaffs all over the country has be- come UEXPERIMENTH. Their obliga- tion to present an effective public rela- tions piece has been overshadowed by the realization that a yearbook is meant to give a true picture of their school in a new and exciting way. As this year comes to a close the staff of OPTICON 67 can finally sit back and evaluate their work. The opening section, using a special ink on heavy paper stock, made it necessary to use less color than in previous years. The use of a special cover material and design made it necessary to compromise on the paper used in the ma- jority of the book.
