February 8, four hundred students listened to James Farmer discuss the emergence of freedom for the negro peoplelof America. Mr. Farmer had recently been appointed head of the National Lit- eracy Project in Washington, D. C. A Week later Random House published his book Freedom- When? On March 9 a man who ran six times on the Socialist Party ticket for President of the United States addressed a capacity audience. Students listened to Mr. Norman Thomas advocate United States withdrawal from Vietnam. Author of Sick, Sick, Sick, Mr. Jules Feiffer played modern Socrates March 31. Student Government brought to our campus vital issues. Heavily supported by our campus clubs each event witnessed student attendance unprece- dented in C. W. Post history.
