A if, V57 K S9 Since its founding on February 9, 1957 Sigma Alpha Theta Sorority has sought as its goals the development of good minds, character, and a closer bond to the Post campus through an active sister- hood. Whether socially or academically, the sisters feel that these goals can only be achieved through the understanding and utilization of their motto, Sincerity and Truth. Although the women of SAT have the common bond of sisterhood, each' girl is proud of her individuality. ln this Way she is able to add to the development of her sorority, her school, her friends, and herself. The first national sorority at CAV. Post, the Alpha Xi Delta sorority was established on campus in 1962. Since that time sisters have Worked toward fulfillment of the fraternity ideal. During the summer of '65, President Midge Ruediger began the year's activities with a visit to the Alpha Xi National Convention. Lynn Egan meanwhile was busy working on Summer Orientation joined by seven other sisters in the Fall Program. Notably active in school life are: Lynn Egan, past Editor-in-Chief of Pioneer, Opticon Co- Feature Editor, JoAnn Lamicello and Photography Coordinator, Alice Timmelg Cheerleaders, Ann Dhiel and Karen Sabo. Scholastically sisters have mayitained representation in Honor Societies. Dean's List and Whois Who Among American Universities and Colleges. Greek Sing honored the Alpha Xis with Best Over All Performance Trophy. The Alpha Xils interpretation of the 4'South Seasn won 3rd place at TKE Carnival. Homecoming too, was most exciting with our unusual bird float .winning.lVIost Original Trophy. The Alpha Xi Delta's 5th annual Card Party, National Philanthropic project, social and sporting events are all part of ,sisterhood long to be remembered by the sisters of Alpha Xi Delta. Officers: J. The sisters of SAT are proud of their heritage, and proud of their continuing success.
