On December 16, 1962, Delta Chi Omega became Alpha Epsilon Phi, the first sorority on campus to be affiliated with a national organization. Consequently, Alpha Epsilon Phi expects a great deal from girls who aspire to its membership. Alpha Epsilon Phi is devoted to the ideals of sisterhood. lts main purpose is to promote faculty approval, student esteem, and fraternity fidelity. ln order to achieve its aims, it has organized the mothers' teas, a father- daughter dinner dance, and a Christmas Party for the pledges ef the various sororities. The sorority has participated in Homecoming, Carnival, Crimson Ball, and Exchange of Pledges Day. This past fall, one of our sisters was elected Homecoming Queen. The sisters also attended Alpha Epsilon Phi's national conclave at the Uni- versity of Connecticut. The sisters participate in such campus activities as class activities, Green Band, Woman's Judicial Board, Honors Program, Optieen Woman's League, Post Pioneer, Dean's List, and Who's Who in American Universities and Colleges. This year Jackie Rausch served as treasurer of Panhellenic. During the summer, the sorority was represented at a national convention in Miami. The sisters sponsored a tea for the faculty and student leaders on its Eounder's Day, October 24. The sorority also played a powder-puff football game with Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.
