During this period, this industrious group strove to help the students, school and community. Their many accomplishments are exemplihed by assistance to the school and faculty in the form of rendering services at student registration; acts of charity, by establishing an annual food drive for the benefit of the Saint Christopher Orphanage in Sea Cliff; promoting brotherhood through active participation in inter-fraternity sports; enhancing the college life through many social functions and sup- porting the school in many other ways whenever pos- sible. To preserve the memory of their beloved brother, PhiTau Skip Soltesz, who passed away in December of 1960 they established an annual scholarship to be awarded tc; the outstanding engineering student at C. W. Post Col- lege. In conjunction with this award, they set up an annual rafHe drawing to raise the money for the scholar- ship. Phi Tau accepted their hrst pledge class in October of 1960. At their annual induction dinner in May 1961 the received official recognition by the college and are no; considered an authorized fraternity on the C. W. Post campus. Seated: C. Gaust, A. Lang, H.
